The Duke of Sussex previously admitted that he had warned Meghan not to take one specific picture during a trip to India in the early days of their relationship out of fear she may be compared to his late mother.
When Prince Harry first began dating Meghan Markle, they were keen to keep their romance behind closed doors.
During the early days of their romance, Meghan travelled to India with World Vision to promote menstrual health management and education access for young girls. The late Princess of Wales was once pictured sitting alone at the famous landmark on a tour of India and the image became considered symbolic of the state of her relationship with Charles at the time.He wrote: "Do not take a photo in front of the Taj Mahal. Unbeknownst to the outside world, the pair were already spending most of their time in the UK at separate residences with Diana based at Kensington Palace while Charles preferred to reside at Highgrove in Gloucestershire. The couple sat together for around 25 seconds on the same white marble bench before walking into the Tag Mahal for a private tour which marked the end of their trip to India and Bhutan that year.
