Harry Kane is reportedly open to running down his Tottenham contract with Daniel Levy reluctant to sell to Manchester United. THFC MUFC

The England captain’s current deal expires at the end of next season and a summer transfer could be on the cards with an extension looking unlikely.

He has been the club’s top scorer across all competitions in every campaign since 2014-15, notably scoring 35 in 16-17 and 41 the following year. Kane should be pursuing a move elsewhere and currently holds all of the cards considering he can walk for nothing next summer. The English international is apparently ‘open to seeing out his Tottenham deal’ with a lot of interest expected to come in the summer transfer window.

A new striker is the club’s top priority and they are hopeful of having one in for their pre-season tour of the United States. Chelsea have now emerged as a shock destination for Kane; mainly because ex-Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is set to become the Blues’ next permanent manager.
