Hannah Waddingham has confirmed that she is not hosting the BBC Fantasy, Myths And Legends Prom at the Royal Albert Hall, as she supports the Hollywood actors' strike
Hannah Waddingham says she will no longer be hosting the BBC Fantasy, Myths And Legends Prom at the Royal Albert Hall, out of solidarity with the ongoing Hollywood actors’ strike.
“It will be a magical night, but due to my ongoing support for the @sagaftra strike, I must respectfully step down.The Fantasy, Myths And Legends Prom will feature music from some of the industry’s biggest franchises, including Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings and Game Of Thrones – in which Hannah also appeared.
Along with other members of the Ted Lasso cast, Hannah has been vocal in support of both the strike by the US actors union Sag-Aftra and the writers union the WGA and has been pictured on several US picket lines. As she was stopped by Channel 4's David Coulthard, he couldn't help but praise the actress, and he admitted to binge-watching her.As she continued, she asked: "I've waited a long time to be here, and am I allowed to say that I'm very much looking forward to seeing Lewis Hamilton, eight-time champion?"
