Last season's finalists will meet again next month in a last eight tie
SPFL Trust Trophy holders Hamilton Accies will face Raith Rovers in a rematch of last season's final, after the draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of this year's competition were made this afternoon.
Now the sides will do battle again at New Douglas Park when the Championship side come calling in the last eight. Fellow Lanarkshire side Airdrieonians are also still in the competition and if they win their last 16 tie against Rangers B, which is due to played on November 7 at Cappielow, they will face a trip to Championship rivals Morton in the quarter-finals.
That would see a rematch of last season's Championship play-off final, where the Diamonds were promoted on penalties at Hamilton's expense.
