Bike retailer says impact of Covid on December figures shows virus remains a challenge for businesses
Halfords said there had been a “strong performance during October and November but a drop-off in performance in the latter part of the period as the Omicron variant grew in prominence”.Sales of cycling products during the festive period dropped by 2.1%, while sales of motoring products also dropped by 1.5%, leading to an overall fall of 1.8%.during the pandemic, as it sought to make its store estate more profitable, leaving it with 404 Halfords stores.
