Shadow Health Secretary Wes Streeting, who uncovered the figures using a written parliamentary question, told: “Much like the ‘40 new hospitals’ which turned out not to be new, these ‘community diagnostics centres’ do not appear to be located in communities. Once again, the Conservatives have overpromised and underdelivered.
“I know from experience that when it comes to conditions like cancer, catching it early saves lives. But the longer we give the Conservatives in power, the longer patients wait.
