Si was keen to pass on his good wishes
Hairy Bikers fans loved a sweet message Si King put out for all their younger followers on social media, on behalf of himself and co-star Dave Myers.
Si began saying: "Well, it is the season of square hats, scrolls and capes - not everybody gets dressed up as Batman at this time of year. But congratulations everybody, and don't forget: you are the future. You, your families and everyone around you should be congratulating you." One Instagram user wrote: "What a lovely thing to do Si," as another fan asked "I can't wait for this to be me next year! Will you do this again next year? Big love xx."
Speaking to the Yorkshire Post, Dave explained how the emotional moment left both himself and pal Si in tears, saying: "It's been hard but I'm not the only one and I'm getting through it and I'm back at work. I've had to learn to walk again and ride my bike again, and to get on my bike again with Kingy in the sunshine brought tears to both our eyes."
