The Scottish champions have tabled a £3million bid with Elfsborg for the Swedish international. Talks have been on-going with the Allsvenskan leaders and significant progress has been made over the past 48 hours. Swedish sources have confirmed that a deal with Celtic is close and Record Sport understands it is likely to be sealed after this weekend’s fixtures. Elfsborg play Hammarby while Celtic are at Aberdeen.
Celtic are also in the market for another right-back, winger and another striker for the Champions League group stages. That could be added to if Celtic decide to cash in on any of their other first-team players.
