A curry house that struggled to make a comeback after the pandemic has been saved by an award-winning restaurateur. There was dismay from regulars when Masala Junction, in Carrington, announced it would close on October 15.
"Hearing Amita's appreciation for the dedication and love we poured into creating our restaurant, I couldn't be happier passing the reins into her very capable hands. Her work ethic is admired and respected by all who know her and having worked together in the past, I'm confident her care and commitment to the team and restaurant matches my own.
Mrs Sawhney said: "We just signed yesterday. It happened really quickly since they closed down and we decided to step in. It took just a week to tie it up so there's a continuity and it doesn't stay closed too long."
