The list pulled together by the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) has named a Leeds United man among the world's top young stars
Wilfried Gnonto has been named among the top 100 young players in the world ready to make the step up and join a ‘top club’, with data revealing the eye-watering value of the young star.
It appeared to come to a head when the 19-year-old refused to travel with the squad for the league game in Birmingham last month, though he returned to the side with a bang by scoring in the entertaining win over Ipswich Town a fortnight later. Gnonto is the only Leeds United player to have made the list, ranking 81st out of 100, while a handful of other Championship youngsters have also been included. Southampton goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu is the highest ranked player based in England in ninth, while Leicester City’s on-loan defender Callum Doyle is 20th.
