Richard, 67, made a contribution to a discussion about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas

Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley enraged viewers after asking a divisive question while discussing the conflict in the Middle East. Richard, 67, received criticism on Monday's, October 16, edition of the ITV breakfast programme for a contribution he made to a discussion about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel on October 7, which killed more than 1,400 Israelis and injured around 3,400. Israel's military airstrikes in retaliation to the Hamas attack have killed at least 2,670 people and wounded 9,600 others, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said in a statement on Sunday, October 15.

Taking to social media, one person wrote: "The comparison is wrong and absurd in every way. Think it through before adding fuel to the fire." Another person said: "The fact that this view is expressed on mainstream TV in England is chilling. This is where we are at."
