A Glasgow woman is believed to be one of two protesters arrested for alleged breach of the peace as King Charles visits Edinburgh.
Two women have been arrested for allegedly attempting to climb over a barrier on the Royal Mile during a visit from King Charles.One of the women is believed to be a protester from Glasgow representing the climate activist group This Is Rigged.
Sharing the arrest on social media, a spokesperson for This Is Rigged wrote:"We consider these arrests unlawful and a denial of our democratic right to protest."A spokesperson for Police said:"Two women – aged 20 and 21 - have been arrested in connection with a breach of the peace after allegedly attempting to climb over a crowd safety barrier on the Royal Mile, Edinburgh.The King and Queen are in the capital for a service of thanksgiving and dedication celebrating their coronation at St Giles' Cathedral.
