The owner says he no longer has the 'energy' to put into the popular tearoom
A popular tearoom in the west end of Glasgow is set to close its doors within days after a number of challenges over the last 23 years.
Martin's decision to close was made after struggling to jump over hurdles including the cost of living crisis, staffing issues and Glasgow City Council's approval of a new development of flats on Otago Lane. He told GlasgowLive: "The cost of living crisis has made it really difficult for us to stay open. I’ve been doing it for 23 years and I haven’t got the energy to put into making it work during what is quite an extreme economic environment.
"It has taken me months to make this decision and I am gutted but we are continuing in our wholesale and retail. It’s the physical side of the business that is closing with the cafe.
