The Eurovision dream is officially over for Glasgow following the news that Liverpool has been chosen to host the 2023 event on behalf of Ukraine.
The news that Glasgow wouldn't be hosting the event - dubbed the Olympics of pop music - was met with a mixed reaction. While some believed the city wasn't prepared to host, others were happy to wish Liverpool all the best. Heather Collins commented: "Such a shame, would have brought much-needed revenue to the city. Can't believe the Gkaswegians which have commented on here saying they're pleased we didn't get it. Unbelievable."
