A man has been blocked from working as a private hire driver in Glasgow after it emerged he had been convicted of domestic abuse.
Sergeant Lisa Campbell said checks had revealed Mr Bashir had been convicted following “abusive” behaviour towards his ex-partner between April and October 2019.She said he had repeatedly contacted the victim, sending her text and social media messages on “an excessive number of occasions”. He received a nine-month community payback order and a three-year non-harassment order, Sergeant Campbell said.
