We told how the east end store was closing down on August 20 for a refurbishment. It has since been confirmed by B&M chiefs that it will reopen at 8am on Saturday, August 26. Regular customers at the bargain retailer called for a garden centre which is being delivered. The new garden centre will spread over 7,000 square feet of the 'bigger and better store' in Biggar Street.A wide variety of branded products including toys, food and drink, pet products, health and beauty, groceries, and alcohol are being promised by the retail giant. Meanwhile 'hundreds of plant varieties and gardening essentials' will be on the shelves at the garden centre area.
The store manager said: “We wanted to make our store even better for customers, giving them even more big, branded products. We hope customers are going to be delighted with their new and improved store, the team have been working really hard to get the store ready to welcome customers through the door.Action for Children representatives were nominated to officially unveil the new B&M store. The charity protects and supports children and young people.
The store manager added: “Action for Children really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
