Charles Howe has spoken out about how his dad never recovered from the death of his wife and their unborn child.
A Glasgow man has told how his father passed away suddenly earlier this year having never gotten over the loss of his wife and unborn son in a car accident 27 years ago.
The driver of the vehicle was sentenced to 21 months imprisonment on charges of fleeing the scene, failing to report the accident, driving while disqualified and without insurance, careless driving, and driving the car without the owner's consent. "It totally destroyed him, to be honest, he was just never the same. He needed a lot of help and that lasted right up until his death earlier this year.
"They didn't speak about the accident for a long time. I think it was just too difficult, that shared experience." The family felt a charity old firm game would be a great way to bring everyone together to celebrate their dad's life and raise some money for an amazing charity.
