A dealer who was caught with drugs, cash and mobile phones in his car has been fined.
Liam Boyle, 30, was stopped by cops on Forge Street, Germiston, on November 3 last year, after they noticed someone enter his car and then leave.
At 6.15pm, when officers were searching the car, they found two mobile phones, £1355 in cash, and 42 wraps containing heroin.Boyle, of Parkhead, was taken to Glasgow city centre police office. He appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week charged with being in possession of the class A drug with intent to supply.
Sheriff Mark McGuire said: “I note he is a highly qualified man with a good job who works away a lot.“If I were to impose unpaid work it would be a high number of hours and I don’t want to set him up to fail. I'm minded to impose a fine.”The sheriff went on to tell Boyle: “Be under no illusions that drug trafficking regularly carries custodial sentences. You pleaded guilty to drug trafficking for a commercial enterprise - to make money.
