BREAKING: A 14-year-old girl has been stabbed at Parrs Wood High School - a teenage boy has been arrested
A girl aged 14 suffered serious injuries when she was stabbed at a school in south Manchester this afternoon.
Her condition is not thought to be life-threatening. A boy, also aged 14, has been arrested by police. The school has sent parents an email confirming brief details of the incident and saying some pupils may arrive home upset following events at the school. A statement from Greater Manchester Police said: "Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of an incident at a school at Parrs Wood High School, Wilmslow Road in East Didsbury at around 1.10pm this afternoon, Tuesday 24 January 2023.
