TCU's first quarter wasn't quite a nightmare but it's hard to have a worse quarter defensively. Georgia needed just four plays to go 70 yards and match TCU's first touchdown of the game and the Horned Frogs are already losing the turnover battle 1-0, which led to a Georgia field goal. Ending the quarter on a sack is less than ideal, too. The Frogs are very comfortable playing from behind, but Georgia is a different animal and is at its best playing from on top.
The Bulldogs are also averaging 8.8 yards a carry on the ground. That's not a recipe for TCU to stay close, and their only big gain came on a rare coverage bust. The Frogs are going to need to reverse a lot of these trend lines or risk being blown out.
