So sad. Can you help Skye?
A loving and energetic one-year-old dog is set to spend Christmas in an animal shelter after her previous owners had to give her up for adoption due to being unable to afford her vital eye surgery.
Since arriving at the animal centre, she has had two operations on both of her eyes and has been well supported through her recovery by the team. Skye, a Cane Corso, is still due another surgery but volunteers are hopeful that she will spend her next recovery in her new forever home. The pooch has been described as a "super giddy gentle giant" and whose entire body "wags in excitement" whenever she spots her favourite people.
As she is a little boisterous at times with her "bum knocking into people", kids aged 16 and over would be ideal. Skye would prefer to be the only dog in the house and to not live with cats.
