It is GCSE results day and across the country hundreds of thousands of nervous youngsters will be nervously waiting to find out how they have done.
We will be live today, with reporters stationed at schools across Merseyside, speaking to students about their grades and their plans for the future. We will also have all the crucial information young people going forward as well as keeping on top of the national picture as all the results come in.Results will be available to students from 8am onwards, although schools will be delivering the grades to their students at different times during the morning.
Schools are braced for a lower proportion of top grades overall this year because of pressures put in place by the exams regulator Ofqual to bring down grade inflation seen during the Covid-19 pandemic, when exams were cancelled.
