Great Britain’s triathlon team fear competing anywhere in UK after 57 athletes fall ill in Sunderland
Former Army captain Adam Diver, 46, and his teammates Richard Addison and Paul Bamber are currently preparing for the World Championships due to be held in Spain next month. The regulator is also investigating why at least 57 people fell ill with sickness and diarrhoea after taking part in the British Triathlon event at Roker Beach in Sunderland on the weekend of 29 July.
British Triathlon says its own samples taken on 25 July and 30 July passed the required standard for the event to go ahead.
