The Holywood Trust has handed over £50,000 towards the Gatehouse Development Initiative project

Gatehouse young people set to benefit from a multi-use games area in the town have celebrated a £50,000 donation towards its cost.

GDI had already pulled in more than £87,000 for the facility which will be sited within the grounds of Gatehouse Primary School. Speaking after the cheque handover at the school on Thursday, Tarena said: “We are so grateful to The Holywood Trust for their generous support. This grant will go a long way towards creating a much-needed multi-use games facility, which will be such a boost.”
