, a platform that aims to make tennis more accessible to people living across the US, including New York, Washington DC, California and Florida. Yarlagadda became inspired by the role that legendary tennis champion and campaigner Billie Jean King had in the passing of Title IX in the US, which prevents sex discrimination in publicly funded school programmes, including sports.

“I wanted to see if there was a way we could honour tennis and women’s stories,” Yarlagadda says. Inspired by the, named after the diamond eternity bracelet worn on court by Chris Evert, Yarlagadda decided to create a ring version of the famous design. “I thought it would be really special [to] honour Title IX, and the 50th anniversary of equal prize money at the US Open this year, and also 50 years of the Women’s Tennis Association,” she explains.

The spiral ring features a row of diamonds alongside a single, larger diamond, with 19.72 per cent of profits going to the Women in Sports investment fund. In keeping with the brand’s ethical approach, all Shiffon’s diamonds are sourced according to The Kimberley Process, with the brand supporting women-run mines in Botswana, while the metal used is recycled or Fairtrade.
