On Tuesday (September 12), Liam McCracken was hit by a bus at about 3.30pm
A young dad who was hit by a bus sparked concern among his friends when he didn't turn up to a coaching session.
Phil said: "No one could get hold of him, he was supposed to be in [the gym] for 4pm teaching kids. He was in for a one-to-one session and he never showed up. Liam has been left with a number of serious injuries including a head injury with a gash that goes down to his skull, a broken nose, back, ribs and pelvis. He also has part of his lip and ear missing and an injury to his leg which the hospital are "very worried about".
Liam had only just moved out of his parents' home in Prescot and into a flat in Old Swan with his girlfriend and their one-year-old daughter. Phil said the flat is "full of stairs" and it might be the case that they have to give up the flat, despite having a contract. "He's one of the most active people I know and he lives and breathes the sport, hopefully it's not forever [that Liam not fighting]. Anyone who knows him knows how loved he is and I'm just waiting for the moment I can give them [the kids and staff at the gym] good news."
