Union members across the country have taken part in demonstrations causing disruption to travel and transport
Travellers have been issued a warning about mass strike action that is currently taking place in France.
The BBC has reported that there are as little as one in 10 services operating and stated that the Paris subway is operating on a "skeleton service". "This may lead to disruption to services. Please check the latest advice with operators before travelling, avoid demonstrations and follow the advice of local authorities."
As well as disrupted travel, The Eiffel Tower in Paris has been closed to visitors as a result of the industrial action, according to CNN.
