Fans nostalgic for the early days of Fortnite will be happy with the new season and its callbacks to the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
Fortnite – let’s all get tilted at the towers Today marks the beginning of Fortnite’s new season but instead of Chapter 4 Season 5, Epic Games has shaken things up by launching what it calls Season OG. As suspected based on leaks, the newest season is designed to be one big throwback to Fortnite’s very first chapter, with a specific focus on the seasons that ran through 2018 and 2019.
Although it only consists of 50 levels, half of what Fortnite’s battle passes usually offer, which makes sense since it looks like season OG will be much shorter than previous seasons. Surprisingly, it also lacks any new crossover skins from another video game, movie, TV show, or comic book. Possibly because this is meant to be old school Fortnite, before it went crazy with cross-promotional collaborations. Some fans are already put off by the battle pass though.
