The Maccabi Tel Aviv head coach has fled the country alongside Rory Delap
Former Leeds United assistant manager and ex-striker Robbie Keane has reportedly been forced to flee Israel for Greece after conflict broke out. That's according to talkSPORT, who say Keane, the current boss of Israeli said Maccabi Tel Aviv, spent hours hiding in a panic room with assistant coach Rory Delap before being evacuated for Greece.
The former Whites boss had tipped his assistant, and fellow coach Karl Robinson, to take the job on a permanent basis, but Leeds would turn to Daniel Farke instead. Keane's former teammate, Delap, was named as his assistant manager at the club and also evacuated due to the warfare involving Hamas and the country of Israel. Intense fighting broke out in the country in an ongoing dispute that's raged on for decades.
