Objectors referred to the building being 'unique' and highlighted its art deco features
Belfast Council has given the green light for a plan to demolish the former Delaney’s restaurant on Lombard Street to make way for a five storey cafe and apartment block.
The approval for the redevelopment came in the face of four objections from the public. There were no objections from any of the statutory bodies, except from NI Water, who said there wasn’t sufficient wastewater capacity. “They also referenced infrastructure issues and the NI Water objections. There were also concerns about noise and 'unattractive living spaces'.”
