I half expected them to open a bag of crisps and lay it out for them all to share.
It’s not just pubs, I’ve noticed. Attractions designed for children are increasingly selling themselves asI was at a mini-railway the other day, specifically aimed at toddlers. I watched as an English bull terrier – all muscle and teeth – strained at its lead at any passing child. I wondered why such a place would effectively contract out the safety of its youngest visitors to any random person who wanted to bring an animal bigger than the average three-year-old.
