Many multinational companies are leaving India as foreign direct investment remains flat. A government report reveals a high number of foreign firms leaving or closing in the country.

The recent history of foreign business in India is littered with failures. Many multinational companies are throwing in the towel and leaving the country. Inbound foreign direct investment has been flat since 2018.

A government report found that 2,783 foreign firms had left or closed between 2014 and 2021.
