Families were all smiles on opening day
The Pod Village at Spring Lakes opened on Saturday, May 13. Owners of the Long Eaton site, Katie and Richard Hill, hope the new addition will allow visitors to feel immersed in nature
Richard Hill, who owns the Pastures Lane site said:"The entire experience has just grown. We never thought open water swimming would be such a big thing but that's just gone crazy in the last two or three years, and experiences like this [the pods] that are closer to nature, and allow people to enjoy things like that have grown."We're about families, we want a family experience for as many people as possible in a safe and secure environment.
Chloe Blackham, a government scientist who attended the event with her family, said:"It's really good. Some of us come to swim here and my grandad enjoys coming down.
