Here are just a few recent examples of animals parading along Scots roads
A swan brought traffic to a near standstill earlier today, blocking off a lane on the M8 motorway at the Kingston Bridge.
This isn't the first time that a cow has taken to a hard shoulder either. In 2020 a bovine beast was spotted by stunned drivers walking alongside the M8 at Harthill with police having to halt traffic until it was returned to its field. Locals eventually contacted the police who in turn contacted the Scottish SPCA. A SSPCA officer eventually managed to coax the swans back to their natural habitat
Locals were taken aback by the birds with one joking: “I wouldn't mind being stuck in traffic if I got to just stare at them.”
