Five hotel workers have died after an elevator cable snapped plunging them down a steep embankment.
They got into a glass lift, which is extremely popular with Instagram influencers, at around 1pm on Friday. Their families have reportedly been paid more than $20,000 from social security and the resort owners following the deaths. Two male and three female housekeepers were working at the Ayuterra Resort in the Ubud district of Bali, Indonesia The lift is used to transport both tourists and staff members between the high-up hotel and resort facilities on the ground.
