Five of the best Manchester terraces and beer gardens for when the sun is shining
It's fair to say many of us will be feeling a little hard done by after the weather we've had so far this summer. Manchester may be known for its rain, but it feels like there's been little respite from the grey skies of late.
Whether it's the a glorious rooftop terrace like the one at YES, a hidden gem, or a terrace where you can grab a few pints and a couple of pizza slices, there's a range of beer gardens for you to choose from. Here’s our quick round-up of some of our favourite beer gardens and terraces, but if you have a particular favourite we've missed, lets us know in the comments.
Tucked into the foliage of the Kampus neighbourhood garden - also home to Pollen bakery, Great North Pie Co, Madre, among others, is Nell's New York Pizza & Bar where you can grab a bench and tuck into some monster pizza slices and ice-cream sandwiches, then wash it back with craft beers, cocktails and spritzes.
Nip downstairs and you can also stock up of the venue's new budget-busting offer from Greek street food concept 'We Can Be Gyros, including its 'Live Lamb Love' lamb kebab, or a sharing platter with chicken gyros, seasoned fries, rainbow slaw, crumbled feta, and honey mustard.
