So what is the risk and why the spate of deaths now?
Doctors call it invasive Group A Strep, or iGAS, and that seems to be what has resulted in these deaths.We don't know yet whether a particular strain is involved in these deaths. "In rare incidences, it can be a severe illness and anyone with high fever, severe muscle aches, pain in one area of the body and unexplained vomiting or diarrhoea should call NHS 111 and seek medical help immediately."
