A woman who is feared to have fallen overboard on a ferry from Portsmouth to Jersey has been named and pictured for the first time since she disappeared.
A ferry passenger who is feared to have fallen overboard has been named and pictured for the first time since she disappeared.The 48-year-old from Switzerland was last seen at around 2pm on Saturday on board Condor’s Commodore Clipper while still in UK waters.
It also stopped on the Channel Island of Guernsey, but police say there was nothing to suggest she got off the ferry at either destination. Some of her possessions were reportedly found on the ferry and she’s understood to have been travelling alone to Jersey,A Jersey Police spokesman said: ‘There is nothing to indicate that Ebla disembarked in Guernsey or Jersey and after arrival in Jersey the crew conducted a full search of the boat and Ebla was not found.
‘Police in both Jersey and Guernsey would like to speak to anyone who may have spoken to Ebla before or during the journey. Any information could assist the on-going search enquiries.’ Ms Yusuf, 48, was last seen on board a Condor ferry travelling from Portsmouth to Jersey, via Guernsey, on Saturday, July 22 A search operation was launched in the English Channel for Ms Yusuf after she was reported missing from the vessel.
