Three fire appliances descended on Bannerman High School, Glasgow Road, at around 6.15am on Wednesday morning. Firefighters have now left the scene after making the area safe.
Firefighters descended on a secondary school in Baillieston this morning after reports of 'smoke' pouring from the building.The crew carried out an inspection on the Glasgow Road building and found no signs of smoke or fire. They have since left the scene after making sure the area was safe.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 6.15am on Wednesday, September 6 to reports of smoke emitting from a school building in Glasgow."Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the city's Glasgow Road, where firefighters inspected the area and established no signs of smoke or fire.
