Fine dining expert and chef Andrew Sheridan brought his award-winning restaurant back home to Liverpool in Spring
.
Andrew, 35, found himself in Birmingham after a stint as head chef at The Stargazy Inn in Cornwall, recruited by businessman Sam Morgan to lead a flagship operation. Before then he’d worked at establishments in Wales, including Sosban in Llanelli where his individual style really began to evolve. His success snowballed into an appearance on BBC Two’s Great British Menu where he represented Wales and his style was championed by judges.
He said: "To be shortlisted for five awards in such an esteemed company is incredible. It would be amazing to win but being shortlisted just a few months after opening in Liverpool, is pretty remarkable." He added: "People talk about it being a chance for me to ‘go home’ but I went home every weekend. We did consider London but I'm from the north. Liverpool is so vibrant. There were more pockets of food places opening up here as well."
