Sky's Alex Rossi reports from Lebanon as fears grow over conflict there. In Russia, 60 people have been arrested after protests at the country's Dagestan airport. Hundreds of anti-Israel protesters stormed the building, which is in a predominantly Muslim area of Russia, after a flight from Tel Aviv had arrived. In Gaza, nearly three dozen trucks entered with aid, but it still fell short of the desperate needs of the people.

The 33 trucks were carrying water, food and medicine and entered the only border crossing from Egypt, a spokesperson at the Rafah crossing told The Associated Press. Thousands of patients and medical staff, as well as about 117,000 internally displaced persons , are staying in these facilities. The Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza is the only border point in the territory that is not controlled by Israel.

Israel's military previously said its jets struck Syrian army infrastructure and mortar launchers early on Wednesday.Hundreds of people including young children and babies line the corridors of a Gaza City hospital, which the Israeli authorities have ordered to evacuate, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society .

A spokesperson for the country's army said that they had asked Washington to deploy its Patriot air defence system.
