Faulty traffic lights causing chaos for Blackburn residents and tailbacks miles long
The problem has been caused by a defect with the signals on the A666 at the boundary between Blackburn and Darwen. It has resulted in two miles of traffic congestion between the Craven’s Brow lights and Darwen Town Centre for several days.
“That is nearly two miles of traffic. Several drivers wanting to turn right out of side streets were forcing their way out into oncoming traffic in frustration. Darwen East Liberal Democrat Cllr Paul Browne said: “This is appalling. The A666 is choc-a-bloc every morning back to Darwen Circus.
