Fascinating photos capture final days of Manchester's Odeon cinema in Oxford Road
These photos capture the the last days of one iconic Manchester cinema that has now been confined to the history books.the Odeon cinema was originally built in 1930, and was used as a single screen cinema which could hold up to 3,000 people. It was one of the first to be opened by Paramount Pictures, and was the first to bear the company’s name in the country.
The popular cinema went through a lot of change in its lifetime, including the addition of screens in 1973, 1979 and 1992, with many of the original features being removed,
