Perth Sheriff Court was told that Netherington was drunk as he pulled off the stunt at McDiarmid Park on a day when his team lost 4-1 to Celtic.
A fan who ran on to a Celtic supporters bus and shouted "dirty F****n bastards" has been banned from attending football matches for 12 months.
Netherington, 21, of Tulloch Place, Perth, admitted shouting, swearing and uttering sectarian remarks at McDiarmid Park in Perth on February 5, 2023.
