Six people are set to face a jury over the shooting of the 28-year-old Knowsley Council worker
The family of Ashley Dale have arrived at court ahead of the trial of six men in connection to her murder.
The 28-year-old Knowsley Council environmental health officer died after being found in the back yard of her home on Leinster Road, Old Swan, on August 21 last year. A man, James Witham, has already admitted killing Ashley after he pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Witham, 41, of Ashbury Road in Huyton, denies murder however, and is one of five men who will face a jury charged with her murder.
The five men are also accused of conspiracy to murder Lee Harrison, possession of a prohibited weapon - namely a Skorpion submachine gun and ammunition - with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to possess a prohibited weapon with intent to endanger life.
