Jim Paterson, 63, was pronounced dead at the scene
on Sunday morning at 12.20am after a crash involving a Mercedes on Brediland Road.It reads: “Our entire family is broken following the tragic death of our beloved Jim. Please if anyone has any information or knows anything which could help the police, come forward.”The 26-year-old male driver of the car has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
Brediland Road remains closed to pedestrians and vehicles while investigations are ongoing and the public is urged to use an alternative route.“As our enquiries into the crash continue, I would urge anyone who saw what happened or who has relevant dash cam footage of the area at the time to contact police.”
