Inspectors also highlighted a charity set up by staff to support young people who have left care

Two Falkirk area children's homes have been praised for the warmth and support given to the young residents by caring staff.

Both homes care for five young people, with Wallace Crescent registered to care for those aged between eight and 20 and Tremanna registered to care for those between the ages of 11 and 20. The inspection also found: "Managers and staff listened to young people. They encouraged them to express their views and influence developments so they could experience the kind of care they wanted."

It raises funds to make sure young people leaving care are supported when struggling with things such as food and energy costs or help with bigger expenses such as driving lessons.
