Hiwa Ali-Khani was sitting in his car on Raikes Road when he was attacked by Joshua Boardman
The teenager who stabbed Hiwa Ali-Khani to death in a Preston street can now be named as Joshua Boardman.
He later pleaded guilty to murder. Until today , Boardman’s identity has been protected by a court order, due to his age. However following an application by LancsLive, the Honorary Recorder of Preston, Judge Robert Altham, lifted reporting restrictions and allowed his identity to be made public.In lifting the restrictions, the judge said he had to balance the welfare of the young person against the public interest.
