Ezra Collective won the 2023 Mercury Prize on Thursday with album Where I’m Meant to Be.
, Raye and Fred Again.. were among the nominees competing to win the 2023 Mercury Prize album of the year award.LondonArctic Monkeys and Fred Again.. are both on tour and didn’t attend the ceremony but a live performance film was shown to celebrate their albums. Meanwhile, Actual Life 3 from Fred Again.. was also up for the Mercury Prize, which recognises the best British and Irish album of the year.
This year’s Mercury Prize shortlist also featured a host of first-time nominees, including Raye, with her debut album My 21st Century Blues which features her number-one single Escapism.
