Each lodge has its own tub at the site, which has its own farm shop, restaurant, play area and mini golf course

It might only be a couple of hours from Manchester, but I haven't spent too much time in Yorkshire over the years.

The site consists of a collection of chic lodges, each with its own hot tub, which we certainly put to good use. I find a hot tub adds a whole new dimension to a family holiday, especially when you have older kids who would otherwise probably be stuck to their phones in the evenings. Everything about the place is geared for families. It's got its own play area, with swings, climbing frames and slides. Surrounding the play area is a mini golf course and there are Alfresco Adventures you can book on and off site including archery and caving.

Just a mile away is the spectacular Aysgarth Falls, the triple flight waterfalls which we discovered are featured in the 1991 Hollywood blockbuster Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves starring Kevin Costner.

Farm of the Week: Father and son's regenerative farming project in the Yorkshire DalesFarm of the Week: Father and son's regenerative farming project in the Yorkshire DalesWhen the phrase regenerative farming and the word sustainability are mentioned there are many in agriculture who start scratching their heads.
